Pest Control
I am a keen shooter with a Firearms Certificate and a couple of useful guns when it comes to pest control. Whilst killing animals is never taken lightly sometimes it is the cleanest and most appropriate method for controlling the pest.
Based in the HORSHAM AREA.

Foxes
Foxes can be a real pain. They take livestock, killing chickens and rabbits as well as taking the new born lambs out of the fields. A clean kill with a rifle is the answer as it is quick and humane removing the fox from the area and solving the problem. Poisoning is never the option as it introduces poisons into the food chain. In an urban environment where there is no safe shot, I would trap the fox first and then euthanise it. This prevents the possibility of dogs or cats getting killed by a humane trap.
Rabbits
Rabbits may look cute but they breed, well like rabbits and they can cause lots and lots of damage to fields and hedgerows. Their burrows can be a danger to horses that also live in the fields and their population can explode out of control very quickly.

Grey Squirrels
GREY Squirrels are not actually native to the UK. They are an invasive species that has almost sent the native red squirrel extinct. Woodland owners need to control the population of grey squirrels which also eat the bark on young saplings damaging the woods. Never shoot a RED Squirrel.
