Rabbit Shooting

My setup for Rabbits is much the same as for foxes. A .22 rifle is great and works really well. To be a lot more mobile I have a bipod that allows me to rest on fences and branches rather than the static hide or shelter.

For rabbits I use subsonic hollow points. These are fantastic rounds for both quiet and a good range. If you miss with the first shot there is a very good chance that the rabbit will still be there for the second given how quiet they are. CCI brand are a really good one as you still need a bit of power to cycle the bolt on a automatic mechanism.

This is my Ruger 10-22 equipped with a evolution stock and a Pard night sight. For rabbits I would usually have a bipod on for mobility.
